LCC EYES REALISTIC PROJECTS FOR 2024
These projects were earmarked during the Budget Orientation Debate of the LCC which held on Thursady December 14, 2023.
The Lord City Mayor of the Limbe City Council Paul EFOME L.M. NGALE, in the presence of the Fako SDO representative brilliantly cordinated the deliberations of this non-voting session which had as principal mission to finetune projects that shall be financed in the 2024 Budget.
During the event, the Secretary General of the LCC KINGE Thompson MOLONGE briefed City councillors on the economic and financial situation of the institution. In the course of the meeting a number of prospected projects tapped from the Town Hall Meeting were put up for deliberation and possible selection for execution next year.
They include;
-Construction of more commercial buildings
-Updating the Limbe Urban Master Plan Phase I
-Acquisition of Transport equipment to ease mobility of Executive staff and facilitate descends for field work.
-Acquisition of a borehole driller by the Limbe City Council to boost water supply in needy communities
-Extention of street lighting within the Limbe municipality. Amongs many others
If voted during the upcoming Budgetary session,these different projects with very realistic costs are expected to be financed by the Public Investment Budget (BIP), by FEICOM and by the Limbe City Council. This shall come to add to some already in progress.
The LCC 2024 Budget Orientation Debate was enticing with all parties making meaningful recommendations that were shaped to tie with the financial power of the insti.
With most attractive projects already selected and awaiting budgetary approval, Limbe City Mayor Paul EFOME L.M. NGALE was optimistic that the population of Limbe can start rejoicing for 2024 shall be a year for the realisarion of key projects that shall focus on the development of the City and the wellbeing of the masses.
