PAUL EFOME CROWNED BEST CITY MAYOR IN CAMEROON AT AFRIK INFORM AWARDS 2023
The strong man of the "Town of Friendship and Opportunities" was being acutely celebrated for being elected as the "Best City Mayor" in Cameroon during the 3rd Edition of the Afrik Inform Awards that distinguishes oustanding persons in the world of politics, administration, communal management, business,etc.
According to the President of the Organizing Committee of the event Aristide BOUNAH, a sovereign collage of voters drawn from across the country voted online and out of many candidates Limbe City Mayor Paul EFOME L.M. NGALE carried the day thanks to his efforts for the edification of a strong Cameroon which is democratic and prosperous.
The Award organisers were impressed with the young City Mayor who despite the difficult circumstances carries actions that are seen and acknowledged. Such actions include;
- His crusade to put an end to all forms of urban disorder including the crackdown on clandestine motor-parks, stress on the aquisition of building permit before constructing and stop on building at waterways.
- His crusade together with the local administration to put an end to the Phonomenom of "Ghost Town Mondays"
- Providing each year close to 300 job opportunities to youths who take care of the cleaning and beautification of Limbe.
- Offering youths every long holiday one of the best football tourneys in the entire country.
- Signing of development oriented partnerships for the wwllneing of the City including that with MAETUR to create a "New City" in Mabeta so as to solve the issue of overpopulation experienced in Limbe.
- The dredging of the Rivers in Lbe since January 2023 so as to mitigate the effects of flooding in the city. Justvto ne but these.
While receiving the award, City Mayor Paul EFOME L.M. thanked all those who voted him especially the Limbe population for the mark of trust they have bestowed on him. He promised that this awards is a nooster for him to continue in offering quality service delivery to the municipality and produce visible and palpable municipal development .
Accompanying the Limbe City Mayor to receive glory was City Councillor Derick DIKANJO, LCC Secretary General KINGE Thompson MOLONGE plus a few management staff and also family members of the Young City Mayor.
It is important to note that this distinction adds to many already received by Paul EFOME just over a year in office as city Mayor. Before the present one, he has bagged the very prestigeous "Young Innovation Leader of the Year Award" during the Global Conference On Forensic Investigation in 2022 in Yaounde.
